![]() There are also some enemies that have an outstanding warrant, who act as a type of collectible, and arresting them leads to even more experience points. You're encouraged to hold up as many bad guys as you can, as you get the most experience points for doing so, and leveling up leads to more unlocks (yes there is leveling up, but it only affects what weapons you unlock). The first one involves you being able to sneak up on up to 3 enemies (stealth is emphasized in this game) and flashing your police badge at them, which allows you to handcuff them. But since you're a cop now, there are two new mechanics. Plus, you still unlock weapons by completing levels and finding them on enemies and you can set your loadout before each mission. The shooting is tight as always, and there are a lot of weapons just like the previous games. The gameplay mechanics are mostly typical of Battlefield games. At least the ending was satisfying enough, but some of the plot points were left unresolved, probably for a sequel that will never happen. The rest of the game is full of stupid moments, the characters become unlikable, and the gameplay doesn't make any sense anymore. And then there is a plot twist, a time skip, and everything goes to shit. The protagonist actually talks during gameplay, which didn't happen in the last 2 Battlefield games, and his reactions to events made him likeable. I've never watched a cop crime drama, so I'm not familiar with the genre or themes, but I was liking what I saw in this game. The story starts off promising and I was really enjoying it and the characters. I decided to lower my score by 10% because of it, it's almost unplayable in these zones - can't change the key binding for Q in campaign (does not work) - searching for clues using Q - similarities with Assasins CreedĦ0% PCI only played the campaign because I don't give a shit about multiplayer so this review is for the campaign only. Here are a few annoying things I found : - low FPS (about 15) in everglades and a few others area even with GTX1060 !! (campaign). The actors rendering is quite impressive in the campaign mode. I really like the soundtrack (hiphop) for the campaign and I like that to play Battlefield in a modern environment (not like BF1). Imho, if you think of all the maps included with Premium + the campaign (8h), there is enough content to justify 50$ at least, but maybe not 120$. Unfortunately, the online community on PC is small. I paid a few bucks for it 1 year after it was released, and for that price, it's a good game. ![]() Let's say you play the game intensively for the first 4 months but you can only play the first DLCs, the game becomes boring and you leave the game and never return to it and the community dies and the game gets bad reviews and next time EA will sell less because people will remember. people paying that much seems to want the game to include all DLCs AT LAUNCH, not 1 year later and I can understand. I'd say it's a shooter worth your 7 hours.ħ0% PCI think EA should change their Premium model. Overall Though I was impressed with the gunplay and the really good acting performances. It's like they said, well we Made the tech for MP, so let's figure out a way to get it in to story mode and pad that convent. The negatives revolve around some boring mid story missions, a arrest mechanic that feels like it needed to be fleshed out more and terrible driving sections I mean, those driving sections they tried to shoehorn were so fucking terrible. ![]() I really liked the early missions when you were just a cop, it was a new request to the genre and great storytelling. The story was also really cool, yes it was kind of Miami cop run of the mill stuff, but combined with what I'll say is excellent for performances from actors and really good mocap, for a video game, thisnfelt relalt cool. The weapons feel like they have weight to them and each shot seems to have a much more realistic and violent rendition. Gunplay in Battlfeils games is always great, and it continues here. Yes, there are some problems, but overall I thought that Visceral should be admired for taking a step in a uncharted direction. I thought Hardline was a breath of fresh air in the FPS genre. I'll start by saying that I only played the single player and I'm super late to the party on this game, so take those things for what you will.
